The second Bobtoberfest event in 2021 was a welcome return to a more vibrant and social celebration after the challenges of the previous year. With the world slowly recovering, our group of friends decided to go all out and make this Bobtoberfest one to remember.

We gathered in a spacious backyard, eager to relive the Bobtoberfest spirit. The crowd was still smaller compared to pre-pandemic times, but it was heartwarming to see more friends joining in as we cautiously embraced the return to communal celebrations.

Our beer garden was back in full swing, adorned with traditional Bavarian decorations and a lively soundtrack of polka music. This time, the beer supply was ample, featuring a diverse selection of local and international brews. We had fewer samples this year due to a planner having had COVID, but that didn’t dampen our spirits.

As we clinked our mugs and raised them high, the laughter and camaraderie flowed freely. It felt like a small-scale Munich as we shared stories of past Bobtoberfests, indulged in delicious German cuisine, and danced the night away under the twinkling lights.

The long-awaited competition was back as well, with friends rating the beers and engaging in friendly banter about their favorites. The winning beer of the night was a crowd-pleaser, reminding us why we all love Bobtoberfest so much.

As the evening drew to a close, we couldn’t help but appreciate how much this tradition meant to us and how important it was to keep it alive, even in challenging times.
